Ivan Vajda was born in 1978 and showed his tennis skills very early on, winning the Croatian junior champion under-18 title in his teens.

The largest part of the result of amateur career recorded a winning title junior champion Croatian to 18 years, and the title of junior champion Croatian international championship in Umag in 1996 (ITF tournament, Grade 1). In addition, he managed to decorate the title senior Croatian champion in the individual competition.

He began his professional tennis career when he was seventeen years old, qualifying for the Croatia Masters in Vrsar and winning three rounds in Zagreb a year later.

Playing with the ‘new wave’ of Croatian tennis stars Ancic, Zovko and Karanusic, Vajda won the Pakistan F1 championship title in 1988 and the Macedonia F3 in 2000. He played many top players, including defeating a young Roger Federer in 1997 in Switzerland.

Major ATP tournaments took him around the world and he also represented Croatia in the Davis Cup. He was ranked 223rd by the ATP and retired from singles matches in 2007 to focus on coaching.

Since then he has trained Sasa Tuksar (best ATP ranking 153), Zeljko Krajan (best ATP ranking 88), Roko Karanusic (best ATP ranking 88), William Vis (best ATP ranking 612), Gordan Peranac (best ATP ranking 569) and Meta Svseke (best ATP ranking 710).

Today he owns and runs Croatia’s leading tennis academy VAJDA Tennis Academy, working with young hopefuls, older fans and players all the way up to international professionals. The Umag VAJDA Tennis Academy 2017 will provide a full week of training, strategy, fitness, injury prevention, match practice and coaching in a beautiful seaside location; not to mention fabulous food and great company.

Mario was born in Metkovic, 9th of May 1972. He has started playing tennis in Croatia as a junior and continued in Norway as a senior player. He has been working as a Head Coach in Drammen Tennis Club, Norway 2003-2010. Currently is coaching in Snarøya Tennis Club, Norway. He has ITF Coach Level 3 status in Norway Tennis Federation.

He has trained with many senior ATP and WTA tour players including: Ivan Dodig, Franjo Raspudić, Casper Ruud, Karoline Steiro.
Today he coaches Milica Mitrovic in Norway who is a number one player under 14 and a national team member in U14.
He has organized tennis camps in Makarska, Croatia 2005-2010, and since 2010 he organizes camps in Split with players from Scandinavia.
